Samuel H. (Sam) Sickler, 79, of Afton was a Member and Elder of the Nineveh Presbyterian Church who over nine years as an elder never missed a church leadership-session meeting; he was a former Afton Fire Commissioner, Owner and Partner of Afton Electric since 1978 and a Farmer. Sam was an avid aviation enthusiast who built his own plane and enjoyed flying. He built all sorts of furniture which he gave away as presents. His favorite holiday was Christmas. Sam donated his time and talents to many community activities and is remembered as the area's home/business/industrial Electrician for over forty years. His son Mike continues that tradition.
